G Seven is located in Hilltop Mansion, Braemar Hill Hong Kong, the apartment was originally a 2 bedroom layout. We started by completely gutting the premises and started over with a new layout to suit the owner, first the living room and study area were moved to the larger side of the apartment which has better open views through the windows and was also closer to the kitchen, the guest bathroom was created at the entrance area using cultured limestone as a feature wall and a mirror wall to extend the space of the dining area. A sliding frosted glass door separates the Bedroom to the other areas, this allows privacy as well as let enough light in during the day into the entrance area. Inside the bedroom, we used the second bedroom as a walk in changing room with ample cupboard and storage space for cloths and other personal items, and the master bathroom located next to the changing room.
Throughout the apartment, we used straight grain Oliver Ash timber on the walls and flooring, the timber gives a warm feeling flowing continuously between the areas, also cladding custom furniture at the study desk, storage bank and living room TV unit. Remote controlled LED lighting and Lutron lighting systems are also installed in the living areas to save on energy and provide better control of all the lighting in the apartment to create different moods. Most of the lighting is concealed and indirect with a few accent lights highlighting the certain areas.
